Congratulations to the Inaugural Class!!!

 Alliance for Housing Progress (AHP) is a nonprofit intermediary working to increase equitable access to housing and support the pipeline of local, minority real estate developers in Memphis. Through advocacy, capacity-building, and technical assistance, AHP works to eliminate structural barriers that prevent marginalized communities from fully participating in and benefiting from real estate development.

To address the growing shortage of over 40,000 affordable housing units in Memphis, AHP has launched the Emerging Developer Academy, a place-based, cohort-driven program designed to support and scale 15 to 25 early-career local developers annually. Through targeted education, project support, and wraparound technical assistance, the Academy will empower these developers to produce affordable single-family housing in neighborhoods where public and philanthropic investments have historically been scarce.
